Myanmar is a fascinating, enigmatic and cultural country filled with rich history dating long back to the 12th Century. It is truly a “Golden Land” for every travel and documentary photographer. The country is a living documentary and still maintaining its old-world spiritual culture. Myanmar provides ample scope of photography e.g ancients pagodas and stunning landscape of Bagan, floating villages and boatman of Inle Lake, old world charm of Yangon and Mandalay are just to name to few. Beyond all these the innocent little monks in maroon robes or cute nuns in pink robes, the mischievous expression of a young boys and girls, smiling faces painted with thanakha, iconic Intha fisherman, unique tribal communities, wisdom winkles of an elderly lady were just mesmerising.
This photography tour is carefully designed to maximize your photography opportunities within minimum budget and the trip will take you through the most beautiful things in Myanmar. The trip mentor Tania Chatterjee (www.taniachatterjee.com) is an international award winner photographer and has spent 1.5 years of her life in South-East Asia and visited counties like Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore , Indonesia and Myanmar.
TRAVEL ITINEARY :
Day 1 (24th Nov, 2019) : Upon arrival , you will be transported to your hotel at Yangon, where you will freshen up, meet your new travel friends and get an introduction of the tour. Your Myanmar holiday begins by discovering Yangon, the country’s largest city. Explore downtown’s diverse mix of cultures, vibrant street markets and colonial buildings.
Day 2 ( 25th Nov, 2019) : Start your day with “ circular train” ride to get the true essence of Yangon city life and its suburbs. Referred to as the ‘Circular Train’, the train travels slowly and stops often allowing travellers and vendors to hop on and off throughout the journey. Enjoy watching the activity on the train as well as outside as it passes through local neighbourhoods and alongside markets. If time permits, we will visit Kyaukhtatgyi Buddha Image – houses the fourth largest colossal reclining Buddha. Evening transfer to Bus Station to go Inle Lake. Overnight at on the luxury night Bus.
Day 3 (26th Nov, 2019) : Arrive Nyaung Shwe early morning and settle in your hotel. After breakfast proceed to picturesque Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery of Nyaung Shwe township , followed by ancient Kakku Pagodas. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 ( 27th Nov, 2019) : Early morning to dusk boat ride on Inle Lake, experience the daily life of floating villages, floating vegetable gardens, monasteries, markets and shooting boatman of Inle. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 ( 28th Nov, 2019) : After breakfast, start for Mandalay by car. By evening reach Mandalay and settle down
Day 6 ( 29th Nov, 2019) : In early morning, we take a short drive to the ancient royal capital of Amarapura. Upon our arrival, we’ll visit the world’s longest teak bridge. Constructed of more than 1,000 teak posts, the U Bein has withstood the elements for over two centuries. The best time to take good photos of the bridge is in the morning when it is not too busy and the light condition is the best. Back to your hotel for breakfast. Later visit the giant Mingun Pagoda and Hsinbyume Mya Thein Dan pagoda paya temple. Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning visit Mahagandayon Monastery and Sunset at world’s largest teak wood U-Bein bridge at Amarapura. The U Bein footbridge stretches almost three-quarters of a mile over Thaungthaman Lake, and is heavily utilized by the local monks in maroon robes who carry alms bowls back and forth to monasteries.
Day 7 ( 30th Nov, 2019) : Morning after breakfast , visit to ancient city Amarapura ,means City of Immortality founded in 1783 AD. We will explore some ancient monasteries of the town and will head towards Bagan after lunch by car. Overnight stay at Bagan.
Day 8 ( 1st Dec, 2019) : Early morning sunrise shoot at Bagan, followed by whole day photography session with novice monks along with expert local guide. Overnight stay at Bagan.
Day 9 ( 2nd Dec, 2019): Visit most magnificent and photogenic pagodas of Bagan. Night Bus to Yangon. Overnight at on the luxury bus.
Day 10 ( 3rd Dec, 2019) : Early morning reach Yangon and transfer to your hotel. Visit to the magnificent Shwedagon pagoda, the massive bell-shaped golden spire covered with 60 tons of gold plates .Enshrined with the Lord Buddha’s eight hairs relic, built over 2500 years ago. This is the most highlighted and the holiest site in Myanmar. Overnight stay at Yangon.
Day 11 ( 4th Dec, 2019): Morning after breakfast , pick up from hotel and transfer to airport for departure

COST & TERMS
1200 $ per person for Indians and 1500$ per person for NRIs and Non-Indian passport holders. For single room accommodation you have to pay 200$ extra.
You can register by paying a booking fee of $600 now. Balance payable by 1st week of Nov, 2019.
GROUP SIZE : 6 to 8 pax.
FEE INCLUDES
Accommodation on twin sharing basis.
Airport pickup and drop at Yangon.
Local transportations including luxury night bus fares ( from Yangon to Inle lake and Bagan to Yangon) and all cars for all days of the tour.
Fee will cover all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) starting from Day 1 (24th Nov, 2019) dinner to Day 11 (4th Dec, 2019 ) breakfast.
Mineral water will be served only with meals.
Tea/coffee will be served only with breakfast.
Photography sessions, on – field assistance, image reviews and critiques on all days

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If you cancel your registration, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:
Greater than 60 days from the start date of the Workshop: full refund minus service tax.
Within 45 days: 75% refund of total fee
Within 30 days: 50% refund of total fee
Less than 15days : No refund
Under any unavoidable circumstances, if we have to cancel our photo tour, your entire booking money will be refunded.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, local political situations, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well-being.
FOTORBIT shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, train delay, accidents, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, road blockages, political closures or any troublesome incidents.
FOTORBIT shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
FOTORBIT do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. All baggages, camera, other gears & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.
