INTRODUCTION
Varanasi photography workshop has been designed for the people interested in street photography and portraits and culture of India. You may carry a basic point and shoot camera, DSLR or smart phone camera. We will help our participants to learn basic camera settings during various light conditions, framing and storytelling through images. If that’s what is your requirement then surely join us for this exciting winter Varanasi photography workshop.
We are not offering a package tour for general tourists; it is specifically meant for photography enthusiastic people and interested to exploring the oldest city of India. You will discover the place and experience a lot about this ancient city, local people and their culture. We will try to observe the local people, their daily activities and cultural beliefs and will try to capture those moments using right compositions and techniques. There is a strong belief within us that travelling is all about knowing others’ cultural beliefs and respecting them.
ITINERARY
21st Dec (Thursday) : Check – in to Hotel around 12 noon (Good hotel just beside river Ganga with clean room and western toilet). Have your lunch and settle down.
Around 2pm , Mentor will organise an introduction session, briefing of the tour and will discuss basics of street photography with an presentation.
Start Photo walk with our mentor around 4pm evening (explore ghats of Varanasi and evening aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat) .After 7.30 pm, it’s your free leisure time.
22nd Dec (Friday) : Today will start at 5.30 am and try to catch various morning activities alongside of the river ghats in fog and mist. After breakfast explore the lanes of Varanasi. Back to hotel around 11am. Get fresh and have your lunch.
Afternoon 2pm – 4pm will be photo review and discussion session. Evening walk will start around 4pm. Today experience Nepali temple and Manikarnika Ghat, which is one of the holiest ghats among the sacred riverfronts, alongside the river. It is believed that a dead human’s soul finds salvation, when cremated here.
23rd Dec (Saturday) : Morning session will start around 5.30 am and we will try to discover the Ghats of Varanasi on boat. Boating in the Ganges at the sunrise is one of the main attractions of Varanasi. You will able to shoot landscape of Varanasi in fog and with migratory birds. Later we will explore the other side of the river. In the evening session, we will be on the Ghats again to shoot the evening Aarti in different angle.
After returning back, we will have a review session of images.
24th Dec (Sunday): Today we will try to photograph something different in Varanasi like the famous Kushti Akhara (wrestlers) and Lolark kund (step well of Varanasi). Return to your hotel after breakfast around 10 am and 12noon is your check out time. After farewell lunch, we will end our trip.

COST & TERMS
The total cost for this tour is Rs. 26,500/- per person (Indian participants )/ $500 (foreign participants) on double sharing accommodation basis.
We will arrange single occupancy on demand during your booking ( in that case you have to pay the extra amount). For single accommodation cost will be Rs. 31,500/- ( Indian participants) per person and $580 ( for foreign participants ).

FEE INCLUDES
- Accommodation on twin sharing basis in a good hotel beside the Ganga river near Dashashwamedh Ghat.
- Fee will cover all vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) starting from Day 1 (21stDec) lunch to Day 4 (24th Dec) lunch.
- All local transports in and around Varanasi related with the photo tour.
- On field assistances, image reviews and mentor’s guidance fee.
FEE DOESN’T INCLUDES
- Train/flight tickets to and fro Varanasi. Any visa / permit fee for foreigners
- Pick up and drop to and from Varanasi station or airport to hotel.
- Any personal habits or expenses.
- Any separate food/beverages from Hotel
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
- If you cancel your registration, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:
- 30 days or more: 50% refund
- Less than 30 days : Non –refundable

Am I eligible for this tour ?
Anyone above 18 years (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian) is welcome to join this photo tour.
I am new in photography. Will I join this trip ?
Yes off course. This tour is for all photography enthusiastic people. The more you travel and explore, your photographic eye will open. Moreover, our Team leader will ensure to give special attention to the beginners.
What equipment are required for this Trip ?
Well, even smart phone modern camera will work fine. If you have DSLR camera, any medium zoom lens and a wide angle lens will work best. Wide angle lens will be helpful to shoot. Tripod may require to shoot evening aarti of Varanasi, but it’s not mandatory.
