FOTORBIT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP – What to expect?
Dev Deepawali (Diwali) 2020 Photography Workshop is not a package tour for general tourists. It is designed for photographers who are interested to explore and document the oldest city of India Varanasi (Banaras). Varanasi also known as Banaras or Kashi is a popular destination for travel photographers. You will discover the place and learn about this ancient city, its local residents and their culture. We will observe the local people, their daily activities and cultural beliefs and try to capture those moments using right compositions and techniques. There is a strong belief within us that travelling is all about knowing others’ cultural beliefs and respecting them.

ITINERARY
28th November, 2020 (Saturday):
Check–in to our pre-booked Hotel around 12 noon (standard hotel in a good location of Varanasi with clean room, western toilet, geyser, including other facilities). Kindly enjoy your lunch and settle down. During lunch we will have a brief introduction session.
In the afternoon after the Lunch the team leader will do a brief presentation. The presentation will give a synopsis on people and street photography in Varanasi. There will be a session on “How to tell stories through Photography”. The guided Photo-Walk will start around 4.00 pm; we will have great opportunity to photograph evening aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi.
29th November, 2020 (Sunday):
Today our morning session will start around 6.00 am and we will try to discover the Ghats of Varanasi on boat. Boating in the Ganges during sunrise is one of the main attractions of Varanasi with many birds feeding in the river. You will be able to shoot landscape of Varanasi from the boat. Later we will explore the lanes of Varanasi for some street photography along with Dev Deepawali (Diwali) preparation.
In the evening we will shoot Dev Deepawali 2020 the grand festival of lights in Varanasi; the shoot will continue till late evening.
30th November, 2020 (Monday):
Today we will start at 5.30 am with morning aarti at Assi Ghat, this will be followed by various morning activities alongside the riverfront. After breakfast explore the lanes of Varanasi. We will return back to hotel around 11.00 am. Get fresh and have your lunch.
Evening walk will start around 4.00 pm. Today we will visit the Nepali temple and Manikarnika Ghat. Manikarnika Ghat is one of the holiest Ghats amongst the various sacred riverfronts. It is believed that a dead human’s soul finds salvation, when cremated here. Later we will explore the evening aarti from some different angles.
After returning back, we will have a review session of images.
1st December, 2020 (Tuesday):
Today we will try to photograph something different in Varanasi like the famous Kushti Akhara (wrestlers) and Lolark kund (step well of Varanasi). Mud wrestling is one of the ancient sports from India; with synthetic turfs mud wrestling is slowly becoming extinct. We will return back to our hotel by 10 am. We need to check-out from the room by 12.00 noon.
FEE: Rs. 15,900/- per person for Indian National and for Foreign National US $ 399 per person (Single occupancy on demand with an extra charge of INR 4,000)
FEE INCLUDES
- Twin-Sharing accommodation. We can arrange single occupancy on demand with an extra cost.
- Fee will cover all meals (3 breakfast, 3 lunch and 3 dinner) starting from Day 1 lunch to Day 4 breakfast.
- Mineral water will be served only with meals.
- Tea/coffee will be served with breakfast only.
- One morning boat ride.
- On field assistances, image reviews and mentor’s guidance fee.
FEE DOESN’T INCLUDES
- Train/flight tickets to and fro Varanasi. Any visa / permit/entry fee for foreigners
- Pick up and drop to and from Varanasi station or any airport to hotel.
- All local transports in and around Varanasi by local Auto
- Any personal habits or expenses.
- Any food item/beverage ordered through room service at hotel
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If you cancel your registration, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:
- Greater than 60 days from the start date of the Workshop: full refund minus service tax.
- Within 45 days: 75% refund of total fee
- Within 30 days: 50% refund of total fee
- Less than 15 days : No refund
Under any unavoidable circumstances, if Fotorbit Pvt. Ltd. cancels the photography workshop, your entire booking money will be refunded.
OUR LIABILITIES AND LIMITATIONS:
All guests are requested to carefully read the ‘ Liabilities and Limitations” thoroughly. Once FOTORBIT Pvt. Ltd. receives your registration for the tour, it will be assumed that you have read and agreed to our “Liabilities and Limitations”.
All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, local political situations, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well-being.
FOTORBIT Pvt. Ltd. shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, train delay, accidents, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, road blockages, political closures or any troublesome incidents.
FOTORBIT Pvt. Ltd. shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
FOTORBIT do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. All baggages, camera, other gears & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.
